Admission Requirements

Admission at Da Vinci University is granted on a rolling enrollment schedule. There are no deadlines for applications because we continually accept new students throughout the year. An application is reviewed by the admissions committee and evaluated based on a number of specific criteria. Original and official transcripts must be used for all accepted applications. Official transcripts that are not in English must be accompanied by a certified English translation. An interview may be necessary to complete the application process. Upon submission of an application, students will be notified within 30 days as to whether or not acceptance has been granted. The institution admits students regardless of race, color, national origin, disability, sex, or age. Da Vinci University reasonably accommodates applicants and students with disabilities to the extent required by applicable laws.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL PROGRAMS

  • Completed Da Vinci University application and application fee payment $75.
  • Copy of government issued photo ID.
  • Current resume or CV.
  • Applicants for degree programs whose first language is not English and did not graduate from a school program taught in English must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting any of the following: TOEFL, iBT, Pearson Test of English Academic Score Report, College Board Accuplacer ESL Exam, Eiken English Proficiency Exam, Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scores or sufficiently pass ’ Da Vinci University s ESL assessment with ESL300 or above.
  • Any non English documentation must have a certified English translation.
  • Transcripts not in English are evaluated by an appropriate third party and translated into English at the expense of the student.

Undergraduate Admission:

  • Copy of high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Copy of high school transcripts.
  • Current photo identification; ID or passport.

If an applicant does not have their high school graduation documents, they may self certify using the AAUN self certification form that they have graduated with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Admission to the bachelor program may be accepted for students returning to school after 5 years of documented work experience. These students may be accepted as a non degree seeking student. Upon completion of 3 courses FDN100 Foundations for online success, ENG100 English Composition and RES100 Research for the 21st Century with a 70% or above, a student may matriculate into the bachelor program and these course credits can be applied to the bachelor program.

These foundation courses are designed to create the core for the learner’s success by providing the foundations for online study skills, writing professionally, and researching methods in an academic setting to pursue their professional goals. After completing the foundation courses, students may matriculate into the bachelor program with the General Education courses where they continue to learn additional business focused topics that blend traditional academic skills with a global business focus.

Graduate Admission:

  • 2 Letters of recommendation from faculty or employer.
  • Updated resume/CV.
  • Copy of each diploma: bachelor’s degree and high school diploma.
  • Original transcript of last received degree.
  • Current photo identification – ID or passport.
    * Any non English documentation must have a certified English translation.

Admission to the master’s program may be accepted for students returning to school after 5 years of documented work experience upon review of prior learning experience. These students may be accepted as non degree seeking students. Upon completion of 2 courses MGT6000 Integrated Studies in Management and ECON6000 with a passing grade of 80% and above, the student may matriculate into the master’s program.

Doctorate Admission:

  • Letter of intent for admission to the doctoral program.
  • A work statement letter (Minimum of 3 years of experience).
  • 3 Letters of recommendation from faculty, colleagues, or employers.
  • Updated resume/CV.
  • Copy of each diploma: master’s degree, bachelor’s degree and high school diploma.
  • Original transcript of last received degree.
  • Current photo identification – ID or passport.
    * Any non English documentation must have a certified English translation.

Admission to the doctorate program may be accepted for students who have a master’s degree in another field. These students may be accepted as non degree seeking students. Upon completion of 3 MBA courses MGT6000, ECON6000 and FIN6000 with a passing grade of 80% and above, the student may matriculate into the doctorate program and begin with DBA7000 and DBA7100. Additional costs for the MBA courses are based on the per credit hour for the MBA courses.
Applicants to the doctoral program must submit proof of earning a master’s degree in business related topics, transcripts, a resume/cv, and 3 letters of recommendation by faculty, colleagues or employers. Admission to the doctorate program may be accepted for students returning to school after 5 years of documented work experience upon review of prior learning experience. These students may be accepted as non degree seeking students. Upon completion of 2 courses DBA7000 and DBA7100 with passing grade of 80% and above, the student may matriculate into the doctorate program.

If official original transcripts are not sent with the application, the transcripts must be sent prior to:
a. the first 9 semester credit hours for bachelor program
b. the first 6 semester credit hours for master program
c. the first 8 semester credit hours for doctorate program
Or else the student may be withdrawn from the program and would need to re apply for admission.

International Students: English Language Requirements

Applicants for degree programs whose first language is not English and did not graduate from a school program taught in English must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting any of the following: TOEFL, iBT, Pearson Test of English Academic Score Report, College Board Accuplacer ESL Exam, Eiken English Proficiency Exam, Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) scores or sufficiently pass Da Vinci University’s ESL assessment with ESL300 or above.

Any non English documentation must have a certified English translation. Transcripts not in English are evaluated by an appropriate third party and translated into English at the expense of the student. Transcripts from non US based institutions may require a foreign credential evaluation through World Education Services (www.wes.org) at the cost of the student.

  • UNDERGRADUATE:
    A minimum score of 500 on the paper based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT)
    61 on the Internet Based Test (iBT)
    0 on the International English Language Test (IELTS)
    44 on the Pearson Test of English Academic Score Report.
    A minimum score on the College Board Accuplacer ESL Exam Series as follows:
    ESL Language Use: Score of 85
    ESL Listening: Score of 80
    ESL Reading: Score of 85
    ESL Sentence Meaning: Score of 90
    ESL Writeplacer: Score of 4
    Comprehensive Score for all exams of 350
    A minimum grade of Pre-1 on the Eiken English Proficiency Exam;
    A minimum B-2 English proficiency level identified within the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) standards and assessed through various ESOL examinations, including the University of Cambridge;
    A transcript indicating completion of at least 30 semester credit hours with an average grade of “C” or higher at an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education and/or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or accepted foreign equivalent that is listed in the International Handbook of Universities where the language of instruction was English. A “B” or higher is required for master’s degree, first professional degree, or professional doctoral degree
  • Master’s Degree:Submit One of the Following:
    A minimum score of 530 on the paper based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT)

ALL PROGRAMS

Payment of registration fees: Da Vinci University is committed to a policy of equal opportunity in the recruitment and admission of students and access to student financial assistance, other student services, and activities. Da Vinci University does not discriminate on the basis of age, sex, race, color, religion, disability, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, or any other basis as specified by national and international laws and regulations. Failure to adhere to the enrollment agreement can result in withdrawal from the university with no refunds.

TRANSFER CREDITS

Undergraduate Degrees:

Da Vinci University may award a maximum of 75 percent of transfer credits required for the bachelor’s degree program. This can be a combination of transfer credit and experiential or equivalent credit (including challenge/test out credits). Courses accepted for transfer credit are relevant to the program of study and equivalent in both content and degree level. Credit awarded for experiential or equivalent learning cannot exceed 25 percent of the credits required for a bachelor’s degree.

Master’s Degrees:

Da Vinci University may award a maximum of 50 percent of the credits required for a master’s degree program from transfer credits. Courses accepted for transfer credit are relevant to the program of study and equivalent in both content and degree level.

Professional Doctoral Degrees:

The institution may award a maximum of 15 percent of the credits required for a professional doctoral degree program (or nine semester credit hours for a 60 semester credit hour degree program) through transfer credit. Courses accepted for transfer credit are relevant to the program of study and equivalent in both content and degree level.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Student’s Right to Cancel: Any student has the right to cancel their enrollment agreement and obtain a partial refund of charges paid through attendance at the first class session, or on/before the fifth day after enrollment.
Cancellation shall occur when you give email notice of cancellation to info@davinciuniversity.education. The student will receive confirmation of your cancellation by the academic department.
If you cancel this agreement, the school will refund any money that you paid, less any non refundable charges, any amount paid for an application fee or deposit, not to exceed $250.

Refunds:
Refunds will be returned using the flexible time schedule refund policy. When a student cancels after completing at least one lesson assignment but less than 50 percent of the graded assignments, Da Vinci University will retain the application fee and one time registration fee of no more than 20 percent of the tuition not to exceed $200, library service fees, plus a percentage of tuition paid by the student in accordance with the following schedule:

TILA Disclosure:

Da Vinci University does not charge a finance charge or annual percentage rate on installments.
